Babies are us

The week ahead is "Baby loss awareness week" People whose lives have been touched by the loss of a baby during pregnancy or just after birth are uniting with others across the UK to show their support for the Baby Loss Awareness campaign 2009, which focuses on International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day on October 15th.

On Thursday at 7pm it's the Global Wave of Light. To join in if you have suffered a lose all you need to do is light a candle at 7pm in honour of the memory of your child.

There will be millions of candles twinkling across the world for our special babies, it's sad but so magical.

I hadn't heard of this campaign until a our Victoria who also suffered the great loss of her baby son Flynn told me about the Wave of Light celebration only the other day.

I lost my baby girl Ruby late in pregnancy 14 years ago between the births of my 2 sons, and as they say time is a great healer....... but you never forget and I think this is a lovely way remember.

Good morning everybody... wow what can we say... such a super selection of fantastic entries for the " Its Raining Men" challenge last week, and it was lovely to see some new faces as well as our lovely regulars.

When Vikki and I set up this challenge blog we always intended to get a small DT together but wanted to get established first and now 3 months down the line we have decided we would like to grow a little and introduce some new talented designers to our team.
So we would like to know if any of you are interested in joining us , if you are then we would like you to let us know by submitting a card or project to our DT call , all you have to do is make a card or project in the theme of "Pink" put it on your blog (the same as you would a challenge entry) with a link telling your readers we are looking for DT members and then leave a comment on this post with a link to your work so we can come and have a look .
We are looking for two talented crafty Designers to join our team who can commit to making one or 2 cards or projects a week and in return they will be given 10% discount on anything they buy from my shop Die cut Dreams for as long as they are part of our team and 50 stamped images sent to them every 3 months to help out with their DT cards.
Everyone is welcome to enter the DT call anywhere in the world, the call will stay open until Friday midnight the 25th of September and we will announce the new team on Sunday night 27th of September.

How you interpret this is up to you what you make /create is up to your let your imagination go wild as long as the main theme of your project is based on something to do with summer. There are lots of examples below from the DT this week to give you a little inspiration!

This weeks prize is a Papermania Colossal Paper Pack, Heavy uncoated paper stock 5 each of 10 designs 6" x 6" in the "For Him" range. These papers are great for cardmaking and scrapbooking.

Challenge #11 Hearts & Flowers

This weeks theme is
"Hearts & Flowers"
How you interpret this is up to you what you make /create is up to your let your imagination go wild as long as you include hearts and flowers somewhere in your entries you will have a chance to with this weeks prize which is 50 stamped impressions of some of the latest stamps, they will be stamped on Concord record card, stamped in black tuxedo Memento ink so they will be suitable for colouring in any medium you want to.

So let see what you have for us this week girls, I can't wait to see what creations you come up with
